Has anyone tried the Line in plugin yet? Any problems or issues?

I know someone in need of a line-in recorder but I don't know if I want to recommend qmp as it is still a beta.

There's a line-in encoder with b101. Is it the same as tropics or different? I'm guessing it's different.

oh no. i am sure it is different, i would know it otherwise ... i guess that means all the weeks bugfixing are thrown out of the window.

not nessessarly, the new plug-in may suffer from some of the bugs yours did. Then your knowledge could be used to fix the new one.

Tropics line in plugin works as it should with b104
(providing you have the lame_enc.dll or another compatible encoder)
however, the line in that comes with qmp b104 doesn't work at all
i can't "choose recording controls" and i get this 'error' message

also it says it was "last modified june 2004" in the about. :ermm:

ok man i just noticed two things going on with your plugin/qmp

1.the encoded time is always -1%
2.the time in the player window 'wobbles'
and i'm damned if i'm good enough to screen capture that :p
it does this with other skins too, not just the default.

i don't have any problem with qmp104 ... :normal:
i used ogg encoding because i don't have the lame encoder.

ok forget that it was a setup problem on my side.
i fixed the "wobble" as you call it, it was the variable markerstart not being set correctly. no idea on the % though ... what would you want to see there? nothing else than 100% would make sense there i'd say :ermm:

Todd The Kiwi

could you replace the ~% with the word "encoding"
maybe people new to the plugin would realise it was actually doing stuff ;)

Tropics

yeah that's not possible. see, i can't set the text actually, it is either set by the qmp core or by the skin, i don't know for sure.
i do only set the "end time" (i set that one to 0 currently) and the "current marker". the % is automatically derived from that info, obviously displaying -1% when the "end time" is zero.

the latest one is wobble free, sweet as.
funky text i can handle, freaky wobbles... :paranoid: ha ha
