Hi. I used to play mp3 with QCD until someone installed a Real Player for a webcam. I did uninstall the Real Player, but can't open the mp3 files directly. I can play them only opening the QCD and searching the file.
I did search for any Real Time files and deleted them. I changed the preferences in QCD but didn't work. The mp3 files appear with a strange icon, a little page with a fold in the right tip ( like Windows) with QCD icon inside it,
Everytime I try to open these mp3 files directly from their folders, the computer breaks and I have to do a Ctrl-Alt-Del to make it reworks.
If anyone knows how to fix it I would thank a lot.

Have you tried going to Preferences -> Settings -> File Associations and register the filetypes to QCD?

You may also try to right-click on an mp3, choose 'open with', go to 'select program' (even if QCD is shown) then select QCD, and select 'always use the selected program...'

Yes, and nothing changes.

Yes, I did so, and the computer stops if I do a right click :-((

Try going into Control Panel>>Folder Options>>File Types. Go to MP3 file extension>>Advanced>>select "open" command and click Edit. Check and make sure your setup looks something like this:

Txs a lot.
I did this and the icon changed to the normal one.
But I still can't open the mp3 files from their folders ( the PC blocks). I noticed it blocks with the mpeg also.
I did search for remaining realplayer files and found nothing.
I can't even delete a mp3 file as a sole file. If it is in afolder I can delete the folder.
Damned :-((
If anyone know how to fix it...
Txs a lot,
