Hi!

I just installed the player(version 4.51a) to try it out after reading from many sources that it was an excellent player.

So far I like the features, look and feel of it alot!

However, I tried using the video playback feature and encountered issues. I couldn't find where to open a video file from the player so I went to my one and only video file currently on my computer and right clicked the file and told it to open with QP. The file seemed to load fine, shows it's playing and I can hear the audio portion, but no video. The video window opens but has just a solid black background. However I discovered when I either move or try to change the window size, the picture will show randomly while dragging or resizing.

Has anyone else had this problem and know of the cause and hopefully solution?

Other than the one problem, I really like the program and will probably set it as my default media app. if I can get the video part straightened out.

I am running on a Windows Xp/ SP2 system and in case there is maybe a known conflict issue, I have WMP & Power DVD also on the system.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP WITH THIS!!!!!!!

I just downloaded an AVI & a different WMV file and they both did the same thing when trying to view with QP, so guess it's not a corrupted video file issue.

All 3 play fine on WMP 10.

Doesn't anyone have an idea?

I know I probably should have posted this in the "BUGS" section, but for some reason it won't let me post new threads in there.

HELP!!!!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAASE!!!!!!!!!!! :silly:

Not that I really know what could be the problem, but have you tried any software besides QCD and WMP?

It would help Paul keep track of this if you submitted a bug report by clicking here and filling out the form(this is how threads get added to the bugs forum): http://www.quinnware.com/bug_submit.php

The video plugin hasn't been changed since version 4.51a so you shouldn't have to worry about trying it in the latest development version.
