i thought we had another "favorite cartoon" thread? guess not
lately i've taken to watching The Family Guy
it's quite good, after seeing the simpsons slowly get less and less funny this is a breath of fresh air
i might even buy some episodes on dvd if they're cheap enough.

Acushla, stop editing other's posts ;)That's funny...actually 'scary' might be a more appropriate word. You know me too well.
I was figuring out how I might incorporate 'YOU!!! OBEY THE FIST!!!!'.
I can't decide which I like better, this or Cartmen's 'YOU WILL OBEY MY AUTHORITY!!!
Perhaps 'YOU WILL OBEY MY AUTHORITATIVE FIST!!!'

When I was in first, second and third grade, my family lived in Japan. Upon our return to the US, I was astonished that Scooby Doo could speak English.
And Speed Racer? Forget about it!
Anyway, my favorite would have to go to Fritz the Cat or Heavy Metal, but I often quote Yellow Submarine "...I've got a hole in me pocket..."
OK, my favorite is Dexter's Laboratory.

Recently I was caught in a situation where I was obliged to sit and watch a 'clay' animation film, namely 'Wallace & Gromit: Curse Of The Were-Rabbit'.
Much to my surprise, it was truly wonderful...inventive and entertaining...and when it came to the subtleties of human facial expression reflecting what was being thought...I have never seen it better executed than on the face of Gromit. From a film that had many sterling factors...this one feature stood out above all the others.
If you are a fan of 'animation' I would consider this a 'must see'.

Clutch Cargo has always disturbed me. For those who do not know - low grade animation with human lips. The animation was not animated.
Creepy then, gives me the heebie jeebies now.

Even then if there was an occasional bit of dialogue, even that was synchronised! Crazy Italians ;) Mind you i've lived in Torino for 6 years. ;)
Is 'falters' such a funny word? i had no idea ha ha
Where are the Italians on this board anyway? For that matter where are the Spaniards and Portuguese?

Errr Todd, Africa is a continent ;)
We do need more people from other places. Maybe everyone in the world should just learn English and that would simply ease communication he he. Just like cartoon characters. All the animals seem to understand each other lol

I watched this show in Japan, circa 1967 through 1969. I watched it in OOSA in the years following. Of course, I knew it as Speed Racer.
Trixie, Chim Chim, Racer X (Speed's long lost brother who keeps his true identity a secret)
I can't remeber the little boys name.
Go Speed Racer, go Speed Racer...

I am assuming that anatomically correct three-dimensional computer generated figures does not technically qualify as 'animation'.
WHAT?
