Playlist question

How do I keep QMP from renaming my mp3's? Meaning, it ignores my ID3 tags, and replaces them with what it thinks should be there. Example, I have The Mighty Mighty Bosstones in my playlist, except, I don't like it displaying "The" in the title, and have the ID3 tags formatted accordingly, but QMP displays it with the "The" I have turned off all the Gracenote stuff in the options and removed and reloaded all my songs, and I have also flushed the Gracenote cache, in case that helps. But nothing I do seems to force QMP to display MY ID3 tags. (And yes, I am using the playlist, and not the media library, I dislike the media library) Any help would be greatly appreciated. A smart program is nice and all, but not when it tries to be smarter then you want it to be. Thanks

Try disabling the Media library if you are not using it. It has the "final" say about info as far as I know.

Where is the option to do that or do you mean disable Gracenote MusicID? It's kinda odd that it displays this information instead of the tags by default even for playlist items. Nothing is actually in my media library.

You can disable the media library under preferences -> Libraries.
