Hi...
'Just switched from WinAmp to Quintessential. Can't stand WinAmp3, and WinAmp2 is old story now.
One thing I miss, tough: i like to convert my playlists to the WAV format and then work on my mixes with CD Architect, before burning to CDR. The problem is i do not know how to have my wave files numbered the way they are in my playlist, which is a pain in the ass for my purpose (and WinAmp was doing it very easily). Somebody know the trick?
Thanks....

Hi... Happy Holidays...
The reason is that i like to do compilations on Cd-audio that can be played in any devices. I can do perfect mixing with a program like CD Architect.
On the other hand, if i understood u well, u said u can mix your mp3 files. Do u mean that a plug-in mix them for u, or that you can mix your mp3 files directly? The latter option seems very interesting to me.
Thanks...

go to preferences -> encoding and click the button 'filename template editor'. that should be able to do everything you want.

Thanks pal...
This program is loaded with features.
The only complaints i have so far are (compared with WinAmp 2.91):
- slow to open
- not a lot of visualizations plug-in
- not very good at cross-mix.
But the future seems to be on their side!

Sorry, that does not do the trick.
This template does permit u to name your wave files according to the Mp3 tags.
What i need is a way to sort my wave files according to the order of the playlist i created.
Example:
PLAYLIST
01 - Nancy Sinatra : bang! Bang! (from "Kill Bill Vol. 1")
02- Beck: Round the Bend (from "Sea Change")
03- Goldfrapp: Paper Bag...
etc.
will convert to waves named this way:
01- Bang! Bang!.wav
08- Round The Bend.wav
02- Paper Bag.wav
If i use WinAmp 2.91, i can have what i need:
01- Bang! Bang!.wav
02- Round the Bend.wav
03- Paper Bag.wav
I guess this is now more a suggestion for future releases than a question of "how-to"...
Thanks nayway...

To do what you want I will need to add the Playlist# to the templates. Look for it in the next build.
