Right click on player -go to preferences-plugins-then flush name cache-then load new plugins and finally save and close.
see if that helps!:)

Did you check the plugin folder , when I installed it ,for some reason it installed in a subfolder in the plug in folder ,to which I had to then copy and paste .dll file directly to plugin folder.

Yes the qcdvideo.dll file is in the plugin folder and there is no sub folder. I appreciate you taking the time to look into this for me. Thanks Heigar.
There is probably a dependancy for that dll that you dont have on your system. What version of Windows, Internet Explorer, and DirectX do you have?

I have Windows 98, IE 5.5 sp2, and Directx 9.1
I also notice there is an entry in plugincache.ini with the following entries:
[QCDVideo.dll]
Visual0=FALSE
Input0=FALSE
Playback0=FALSE
Encode0=FALSE
Database0=FALSE
General0=FALSE
DSP0=FALSE
Playlist0=FALSE
Are they correct?

I guess there must be something wrong with this DLL.
When did you download the version you have Heigar?

One more thing, the size of qcdvideo.dll in the properties window (windows explorer) is:
121kb (123,904bytes) 131,072 used
How does this compare with yours?
Thanks again

I had done that already. As i said, it does show that the DLL is installed. I think I will stick to BSplayer.
