I think the video codec problem has been raise before: the video codec loaded to be used is not unload after the video finish playing, thus giving unneccessary memory load. Unless the "stop" button is pressed, the amount of memory remained high, though CPU usage is normal. I hope paul will look into it and fix this.

Muiltiple audio stream: 2 problem actually:
ok, so here is the situation, i have some movie hav 1 audio stream but 2 language, 1 left and the other rightside. For example, to play a movie in english i choose rightside (100% right speaker) and for french leftside (100% left speaker). In windows media player, it is possible to play 100% right speaker audio on both speaker (or vice versa)... is it possiple to add this ability to QMP. thanks

2nd part of the problem: QMP now is moving into the direction to be a Media Player instead of audio player, so i think it should give equal attention to its video side of development.

As a matter of fact, it handles video playing quite well... except for DVD. I still using MPC to play my DVD, but i would love to see QMP doing the same thing. I installed "GPL MPEG-2 Decoder filter" + "AC3 filter" and so QMP is able to play DVD now. However, QMP has no support to choose audio stream in DVD, thus it is impposible for me to choose which audio to play. In short, QMP DVD-playing support is almost as good as none. No root menu support, no scene selection, no audio or subtitle support... wonder if Paul going to do anything about it at all... just curious. So, Paul, if u are reading this, mind telling me are you going to develop QMP in this direction?

that is all so far... QMP has been great, i didnt use ML actually, coz it still hog my CPU and memory usage for catagorization function which i don;t need that badly :)

but Cheer to QMP.... it is one Media Player worth having

(oh yes, btw, Paul, when is the QMP skin development guide coming out? my hands started to itch already, wanna to make a new skin  )

The 'categorization function' (i.e. MusicID) can be disabled in the preferences under Media Library->Gracenote MusicID, as has been discussed before.
