Shut down when loading big folders...

Hi! I recently installed QMP and I really like it.. One problem I´ve discovered though is that for some reason it shuts down as soon as I try to load a folder containing a lot of music... and I do have a lot of music (about 40Gb total). I never had any problems doing this in winamp, so why now??
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

I'm not having these problems here.
Added one folder with... 9846 songs and QMP still working.
Probably some problems with your computer.

Well, I guess it´s just me then.. Could it be that it uses to much "cpu" to handle those amounts of music?
I only have 256Mb RAM... Maybe thats it then??
I´m upgrading soon though..
