I was wondering if there was any interest in making a skin shaped as a Zen player. I would do it but I cannot draw, lack ANY artistic skills, and can barley understand English (native tongue) much less coding.

I was thinking about spidercrab but I just thought I would ask here since more people could see the request.

Hi Fishie. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to do a Zen skin.
How do you find the Zen? Are there any restrictions (as there are in the iPod)with it such as not being able to upload from it back to a PC?

I saw one of those at Fry's when I was in Vegas. To me, it looks kind of like the designers at CL started off with the iPOD as their base design and then made a bunch of subtle changes. It's different enough from an iPOD, but definitely looks inspired by it.

Hi Fishie. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to do a Zen skin.
How do you find the Zen? Are there any restrictions (as there are in the iPod)with it such as not being able to upload from it back to a PC?Thank you for your response. I've had the Zen USB 2.0 since last July. I love the sound quality. I can transfer to and from any PC as long as it has Notmad or the Creativelabs software and drivers are installed on the computer. Creative's software has kind of been a headache except with the recent update. At the time, I opted to buy Notmad since it is based on Windows Explorer and works VERY well. Now, I would probably just use Creatives since they improved on it. The menu system is nice and I can use one hand to go through the lists. The menu system is more luxurious on the iPOD. The big thing for me was the price. For a lot less money I got an mp3 player that rivals the iPOD. There is, however, one GIGANTIC drawback to the first two Zens: The battery is intergrated into the player. Replacing it is made possible by mailing the player to Creative and installing a new one. Rumor suggests that it is $100 USD. People don't really know since no one's battery has died yet.
The first couple of Zens don't look like an iPOD to me. The last two, however, are virtual copies of the iPOD. So if anyone, hint...hint Hanzo, wants to make one, I would like to see a skin based on the first two Zen models (http://us.creative.com/flash.asp?Z1JlyjHoB1KwTGay$wxiTT456AJY1xXJpEIkjVb0 2zOSQggREqp8x8g3JD0tId2p2WhyS4OMdDbKQKOjQwbrzxcWZm vbKwcOx5nn$BuCqMlMu0hvqZr9ig==).

The Zen's battery is far superior than the ipod's cause after 18 months you cant use the ipod anymore and they wont replace the battery: forcing you to buy a new player. The ipod is not what a $400 investment should be.

Apple is now offering replacement batteries (go figure).
I'll keep my Zen Xtra, anyway!
