messed around abit and came up with this.
its not much but im not sure if i should finish it or not.
since it doesnt look so hot i wouldnt put too much time into it...

so what do you think? trying to get something better or finishing this?

(and yes its exactly the size of winamp :D )

Looks kinda funky with that big black blob in the middle, but otherwise shows promise...

Actually, that outline kinda reminds me of a rear-view mirror. Could make an interesting car motif out of it.

i like it, but doesnt it look similar to one of your other skins?..989 I believe. I always dig your stuff, though. Kinda sucks for skinners that all the major platforms have stopped development.

yes it looks like a rear-view mirror no there wont be anything about cars in the skin :D imo 90% of skins which try to go with a not-audio theme suck...


@chicubs: i startet it as a remake of the winamp 989 version ;)

btw: what happend to the qcd skin scene? im totally missing the skins which make me say "wow"... got a bit empty here i think

The green and gray theme sort of reminds me of the default skin. What do you plan to put in the dark space in the center?Methinks a dot matrix lcd display(like in winamp modern skin with color theme = good ol' winamp) would be nice

well i guess it wil take some time to finish the grafics and if its wished i could do so, yes :)

heres a new shot, im actually not really satisfied with the display.. the background gradient and the middle of the upper reflections dont really look good.

EDIT: now that i look at it i guess the display is also a bit dark..

ims still trying to get what you were trying to tell me.. it looks to much like the default skin?
im open for critique so if you have some tell me :)

(and yes its still very empty, that should have changed already but i cant work at the moment since my windows doenst work anymore and i only have a console debian so i cant even use gimp to continue.)

Okay, in that case, it looks good, but I'd prefer more clarity / contrast.
I'd also like a little stick / remote mode.

1.im not sure if i will add more contrast to the background, but im thinking about giving the buttons more contrast and the display will definitely get more contrast as i will make the background brighter while the font will stay pretty dark. hope thats a good solution on this point :)

2.yes i will do one (and maybe, if i have to much time ,a third mode too..)
