hello,

I have a problem with the CDDB, i simply hate it! For one, when I insert a cd and have it queued against CDDB, after it is found on CDDB, I can't change the artists/titles anymore. Why?

Moreover, when I try to edit the data of a cd (and I like to do it myself) I am asked to select a language. Ok, but the dropdown menu is empty and I can't write anything in it, thus I can't edit my cds!

Be online the first time you try to edit a CD so the editor can download all the info it needs (like the language list). Once you do this the info will be saved and you can edit CDs anytime no problem.

well thanx for the reply, but I still have problems. the first I think may be a bug. If I put a new cd into the pc, the player tries to gather info on the cddb. if it fails (whatever be the cause) the main windows of QCD stops working. notice that the player still works, just the main part stops.
Moreover, I now have the language list, but I can't modify playlists generated by cddb.

maybe I'm a bit annoying, but isn't there any other library plug-in alternative to cddb?
