my first concert ever was to have been PRIMUS
but the guy who sold my mate and i the tickets failed to mention it was an R21 gig
(and us being 14 were shit out of luck)
we had to flog our tickets at the door, stink.
fortunately it was hell loud and we heard it from outside :cheeky:
the first gig i actually got into was MORBID ANGEL, this was totally insane
so tight, so fast, so clear so LOUD!
in a word - QUALITY, best $50 i ever spent

Megadeth. My first gig. Only about 3 or 4 years ago, so I was well over 21 before I saw anyone live. Awesome set and the support band from Sydney, Psycore, were fantastic.
Then Megadeth broke up. (and so did Psycore, incidently). So I got to see their last (aus) gig ever! Hurrah! Then they get back together, release another album, and decide to come back Down Under. So I get to see them for their last (aus) gig ever, again! Hurrah!

Cradle of Filth were out shortly before that, but alas no-one else I knew was enthused to go. As I'd never been to any gig before, let alone a black metal one, and would have to travel in from the country to the city, I passed. And I was pretty into the band at the time, so it was a shame.

I think my first concert was with a Danish band called Kashmir when I was 14-16. Was a great memorable concert since it was way different from most concerts I have been to.
It was a small place with ~300 listeners and Kashmir had just released their second album, so they hadn't had time to practice much. So a lot went wrong but it was cool and a great experience.

My last concert was 4-6 months ago with 3 danish metal bands. 2 of them is worth checking out if you like metal:

My first concert was a Buffalo Philharmonic kids show when I was in kindergarten. They did "Peter and the Wolf" and some other pieces I can no longer remember. I do remember the wolf though. It's sad schools can't do that for our kids today.

My first rock show was Elvis I think a year later. I was blessed as a kid and was allowed to go to alot of shows at a very young age. My father drove charter buses back in the day and would try to work as many concerts as possible. They always gave the driver a ticket or two which he handed over to me while he napped on the bus.

Now they are what I call a slick modern metal band. Or maybe it's just the video clip (to ?liquid)
