I've done skins for myself and friends off and on for QCD (and WinAmp) just about since it was developed, but have not felt that any were good enough for uploading.

Recently I've been encouraged to send a couple in and this is one of them. I use Paint Shop Pro for skinning and have Photoshop, but I've not quite got the hang of Photoshop yet.

I'd appreciate any comments or ideas you folks may have on this skin (my 6th for QCD)

Looks good. I'm more into the smaller skins that fit in the title bar, but thats just my personal preferance :globe:

Indeed looks good. But I think there are too many buttons.
One question: the playlist will be resizable in some modes?

I agree with the too many buttons on the left side. When I first made this skin (about 2 yrs ago) only 2 extensions were available. Now I think I might add an extension or two to clean up the interface.

I didn't even realize until recently that you could resize some parts. I didn't have it resizable, but that is a good idea. That's one reason I have it up. I now plan to submit it, but wanted some feedback to improve it. :)

maybe it would look a little bit better with a bit brushed highlight and shadows instead of using the standard bevel and emboss function (well atleast thats what its called in ps)

I like it. It has a good shape and theme. I just think its a little too dark for my liking.

You know I never really noticed that about it before, but now that you mention it, it does seem pretty dark. I'll take a look at it. It should be pretty easy to lighten up, if I decide to.

With the input so far I've made some alterations. Hopefully, I've improved it. Any comments are welcome and appreciated.

It now has 2 modes, the second one allows it to just about fit in the taskbar. The playlist is vertically resizable in both modes.

The colors are a great improvement. Will the playlist and eq be close-able?

I have a little more tweaking to do to it, before I'll be satisfied to post it, but I should be posting it in about a week.

The Playlist and Equalizer can be closed, but are illustrated open to show the whole skin. I'll probably be adding an encoder and revising the browser/video window it has. I've missed so much that QCD can now handle by not visiting this site sooner! Once this one is done, I'll be asking for your opinions about another skin I have waiting.

The final deal. I wasn't sure about the encoder, but that seemed to be the best place to put it. The stick version is still in it, but I left it out of the picture as I've shown that already.

I'll be attempting to upload this tonight. If any of you dl it and have any suggestions about, please tell me.
