Make sure the dll file is in the QCD plug-ins folder. Then either restart QCD or flush the plug-in name cache (right click, plug-in Browser > Flush Name Cache button). A few plug-ins require mfc71.dll and/or msvcr71.dll to be in /windows/system32/
