The ipod shuffle is the biggest piece of crap ever made.....Look in my sig for my opinions on this craptastic player. Seriously, it just pisses me off that apple will get away with releasing an inferior product.

yeah i know its crap, just a usb drive with controls.....but again i dont have 300 dollars to blow so i have to find a cheap alternative whether it be the shuffle or not (probably not, doesnt even have a screen)......

and this skin doesnt have to be a joke

HAHA, that's awful. And great.

I agree, I think the ishuffle is pretty goofy... but I understand what Apple is trying to do with this and the Mac Mini, and I'd like to see more companies do such things. Actually, I've been wanting companies to do such things for a very long time. A lot of people just don't need all the extra stuff.

Some (most) people don't need a $1,000 computer that's so fast it's ridiculous when all they're doing is getting on the internet. Just like a lot of people want something simple that they can put some music on, and be done with it. The iShuffle is about $100 less than any other player of that capacity.

I've been hoping that eventually companies and stores would use older technology to create cheaper (and even more compact/sleek) products. If you want a simple computer, you can't find them at stores... you have to go find one used because stores only sell brand new top-of-the-line PCs, and a lot of people just don't need that.

Like maybe I'd like a nice small laptop, but I just don't need it to be powerful enough for gaming, etc. If you think how they can using the newest technology, and make such small computers, just think of what they could do with a bit less in there. You can't find anything "new" like that at a store.

I think the iShuffle is pretty ridiculous, but then again, I'd be into stuff like seeing album art, or sorting playlists and stuff. So it may not be for me, but I think it's great for people who want something more simple.

despite what apple lets you believe, the shuffle is not 100 less than its rival players. Creative's N200 is only 50 more and it has a screen ,drag and drop, fm, voice recording, in-line recording, SHUFFLE FEATURE, tiny size (only .02 grams heavier) and increased battery life.

Also, apple does not want the shuffle to be for the people with less money, they want it to be a natural sidekick to the regular ipod...1gb is a lot of music to have to sift through randomly. What if you want to listen to a specific song?...You are screwed.

Yes it does.
1. I'm too lazy to develop anything more than is there now. :silly:
2. I want it to be an accurate representation of the Shuffle. The Shuffle is a joke. ;)

Ok, $50... I've been so deceived by Apple! :silly:

Apple hasn't led me to believe anything... I haven't even read their page on it! But that's my point... some people just don't care to have line-in and all that, don't care to see what is playing (heck, they can hear it). $50-$100 less is a big deal to people. Not to mention, I'm sure it'll fit well into the iTunes scene, which is also a big deal to a lot of people. Looking at the specs I see it supports the Apple formats (as well as it being lighter, and smaller [aside from length slightly]).

For an example, with my old car I had an MP3/CD Player in there, and had one MP3 CD and kept it on Shuffle constantly. I would update the CD on here, take songs off, add new ones... but in my car it was just random, and I loved it that way. It's the best for quick trips. I don't think 1GB is too much music if people just want to pick this thing up everytime they want to go for a jog or whatever.

I also think what they want to use as a sidekick to the regular iPod is the iPod Mini (If by sidekick, you mean the lower grade design). I don't think this is exactly for those same people. I think what it could be used for is a device along side your iPod if you're using the iTunes service. If you want to use the same service, same ease of use, same setup, but just don't want to take the iPod with you if it's a quick trip. And if they want it to be something like this... I don't see the big problem.

Like I said, it's not exactly for people like us. Personally I don't see it gaining much popularity at all... but I think it has its place. I'm not defending it like I think it's the most amazing thing ever... I also think it's goofy, and odd... but it's alright. It's not for people who want complicated things. It's simple... to go along with the simple Mac and simple iTunes. I'm not a big Apple fan, but I do appreciate that they're making an effort to make things as simple as they should be.

If people don't care about playlists and stuff, want something simple, want to save money, and want something that goes well with iTunes, it's for them.

As the guy who made that said, it wasn't made to make fun of Apple, but the Apple freaks who follow every Apple move.
