View Full Version : Crashes when loading shoutcast stream

QCD v4.11 crashes everytime im trying to load a stream from www.shoutcast.com. Ive tried clicking on the links on the page and crashes, and ive tried copying and pasting the link directly into QCD, and it crashes. Im using the MMD3 skin if that makes any difference.

Does it crash if you use one of the default MP3 plugins?

Ok, I hope I dont end up looking like an idiot by asking this.... I thought mpg123 *was* the default mp3 codec.

Go into Preferences->Plugins->Input. You will find a 'MP3 plugin' and a 'mp3PRO plugin' which are the default decoders (you only need one to be enabled, they overlap in functionality). Try unchecking mpg123 and checking one of these to test with shoutcast.

Aha! I figured it out, when I originally installed QCD I did so as a CD player, and unchecked the mp3 playback setting in the install program. I reinstalled, and selected mp3 playback, and TADA!
