Well it looks like Rumsfeld is losing support since the last poll. See here (http://edition.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/12/20/poll/index.html). 52% think he should resign. That's about time too. Bush was crazy to accept him back into office. As far as i can tell Rumsfeld could never be trusted having had so much critisism about the war effort and his role in it. I'm glad he is finally losing popularity.

Just watched the news here on my telly. It mentioned Rumsfeld as being 'arrogant' and 'confident'. It was shown how the parents of US soldiers that died recieved only a letter of condolences without even an original signature of Rumsfeld himself. I can see now how confidence in him is deteriorating. Rumsfeld is chiefly responsible for the war in Iraq along side Bush. Any one have any comments on Rumsfeld? Should he resign?

At first, i thought he shouldnt resign, but not signing off the death of the soldiers is the last straw. Be done with him....and Im a republican.

I saw keep him on. It gives us Democrats someone to run against in the mid-term elections.

Realistically, I doubt we would see much change in US policy if he resigned. Afterall, the President sets the direction of US military policy. The Defense Secretary merely carries it out.

Rumsfeld is Iraq with the troops on christmas eve on an unannounced visit. A nice gesture but a semmingly desperate one.
