Okay, 2 things:
1. I peruse the posts in the forum. Whilst doing so I notice the dates are in whacky format mm-dd-yyyy. I'd prefer dd-mm-yyyy. Can I set this as an option somewhere? Had a look, couldn't find it.
Which brings me to point 2.
2. I see in the top right hand corner it says "Welcome back Willow of Oz". That's nice. I then clicked on 'your profile'. It said 'who are you?'. What made it think I was willow of oz in the first place, but then denied knowing me?

Does Canada also use the MM-DD-YYYY format? As far as i know it's only the US that uses it. (c.f. 9-11 is really 11-9). I like the DD-MM-YYYY format better as well. (it's more obvious ;))

u.s. civilians use mm-dd-yyyy
u.s. military use dd-mm-yyyy (not sure if all branches use it tho)

In the Army (US) we used something like 18 DEC 2004. It always caused confusion when dealing with the real world.
I'd like to see yyyy-mm-dd as an option. It's easier to sort items by date that way so I'm used to it.

The ISO 8601 format for dates is indeed 'yyyy-mm-dd'. This is to avoid ambiguity between the dd/mm/yyyy and mm/dd/yyyy. However I can't see anyone changing soon especially the US population :)
Recently I found out in a database programming application that dd-mmm-yyyy (eg 25-DEC-2004) is a poor choice. It works ok for English but in different language the mmm part is localised.

How is the metric system coming along in the UK Matty? I know it was introduced a while back as a replacement for the feet, ounches, etc system. I wonder if in due time all the distances get converted to kilometres instead of miles on the road signs. :ponder: Probably not, i guess.

Well, I wouldn't have thought so - I believe I'd only just arrived at the page. But I'll try and pay more attention next time. In the meantime, if you think of anything whereby it might treat the two differently...
And on that note, I think I've noticed the same thing on Amazon. You go there and it's all like "Hey, Willow, check out the cool things we've got for you!" and you click on it and it's all like "Hey dude, who are you?" Of course, this may all just be mass hallucination (without the mass).

Er, so back to the topic at hand - any chance of being able to set your date style?
