Text Formatting

I don't know what I am about to say so beware...

I think there should be some type of text formatiing. One idea I thought of was haveing custom text string areas which would be formatted like the tray icon tooltip. This would make it easy to make skins with info like artist / track, elapsed time/total time, etc. It also would make it easy to make prefixes and stuff so you could have something like:
[ Rush / Subdivisions ]

Another thing that might be cool is the idea of making text upper or lower case. This would be someting I would want if I get around to skinning fiftytwo because it looks really cool to use all olowercase letters in uni 05_54.

i just took a look at foobar's title formatting, and damm thats POWERFUL! it would be cool to see something like that implemented for the playlist...

it sounds like you're wanting the same controls for text areas like what are currently used for display in the taskbar. eg: [ %a ~ %A : (%n) %N ]

interesting thought. i kind of like the idea of showing track / playlist time together at the same time. but i think i'd rather see it in the form of additional map areas.

I realize that, but it is a little bit of a pain... Maybe if Xymantix incorporates this idea in to his program.
