With QCD, is it at all possible to remove the voice from a mp3 file? Or at least lower the voice only? (As opposed to lowering the entire volume).

Thanks.

its not possible to extract vocal perfectly, but you can lower vocal part to some extent using equalizer; just lower the 1k band, if this doesn't help than lower the side bands (500k or 20k).
if you use winamp than there's a plugin called AnalogX and there's a preset in signal processing studio called stupid vocal remover(?).
have you got izotope ozone dsp plugin for QCD? install it and crack it. there's also a preset called vocal remover. its pretty powerful vocal remover i've used so far.
if you know any other method than plz write down.

I'll try and find a free alternative for qcd (Id prefer not to use winamp) first...if I can't, I'll consider buying the izotope plugin ;)

Thanks for pointing it out though, at least I know something exists now.

there are a few winamp DSP's that can remove vocal (qcd can use winamp DSP's). i can't remember any off hand though.
