Today a famous film producer Theo van Gogh was shot dead here in the Netherlands by 26-year-old man with dual Dutch-Moroccan nationality after Theo produced a movie in which he critisized 'the treatment of women under Islam.' This is the kind of turmoil the Netherlands has been facing since the 2002 assassination of Pim Fortuyn, dutch politician and former LPF party leader who polarized the netherlands with his anti-immigration views. It really does make me think what the heck is the problem with our society or why immigrants are unwilling to intergrate. I wonder if other countries face the same problems. Im pretty sure they do.

People are divided in so many ways in today's world
Religion:
Christian/Muslim/Hindus/Jews/Buddhists/Sikh/ etc etc.
Further divided
Christians - Sorry i do not know in detail
Muslims - Shia and Sunni
Hindus - Jain, Khatri, Rajput
and the list goes on
Then Skin
White/Black/Brown/Yellow
Then Caste
Yeah many countries fight over caste like in mine (Not proud of it)
Then Richer getting richer/ Poor getting poor or most remain poor.
Countries still using trade policies to favour their own people.
Now we have Straight/Gay/Lesbians/Hetro/Metro and god know what not.
(I am not against any of them. I'm just discussing how humans differ from each other and how we are living in a confused society)
Leaders remain corrupt and people still do not have any idea how to identify a right leader from wrong.
America being the biggest polluter in the world do not want to sign the agreement with the rest of the world to control global warming. (many American friends might disagree)
Many countries haven't been able to find a peaceful solution to their problems:
India-Pakistan (50+ year old problem given by the British)
Isreal-Pallestine
China-Taiwan
North-South Korea
and many more like in Africa
U.N is just like a playground.
Terrorism being a problem add to that human rights being broken like every moment every where, increasing population.
The problem being discussed above is close to me as Rex_Mundi_Incarnit said "why immigrants are unwilling to intergrate." I agree with him people who go and start living should mix with the new place and take it as their own or should not go their in first place. But it is also not so simple. Its hard to change what you have been doing for many years.
Sometimes people just look down upon you like, what i face every other day just because im from different place, different colour, different religion.
But personally i do not mind any religion, any colour, any race. Had girlfriends across many colour/Religion. Learnt that in some ways we are similar to each other no matter where we are from.
Going for space travel any one wanna join. :knocked-o
