I don't know if this is the same issue I've seen or not. While experimenting with skinned vis's, I sometimes have to jump start the vis after modifying it, or it acts as if it's disabled. It's as if the new file is either defective or not there, but it is. Even re-replacing the mod with the original doesn't help, so I kill the qcd.ini and skinpref.ini files and restart and it's ok. But again this may be user error (read "rookie skinner wannabe"), and it's certainly no biggie. Lich, is this what you're talking about, and if so, do you have a better workaround?
