I know you guys love all my polls, but I think its kidna interested to see what my fellow qcd'ers are up to...So which art site is your favorite?

....this is probably going to be mainly for skinners, but you never know :) .

I'd like to know which sites have good QCD collections. The ones that are currently listed in the devzone here are mostly broken (customize.org has no new qcd skins, deviant is broken, deskmod is not listing skins...)

deviantart had a nice selection but somethings wrong with that site.

For Backgrounds to by computer, I usually get them off this site: DeepStar (http://deepstar.ekonomika.be/Trashcan/wallpapers/)
For themes for Firebird, I use this theme: Phoenity (http://www.phoenity.com)

Used to be WinCustomize and DeskMod, but deskmod broke. Now I don't know where to go, so, I just go to WC. But WC doesn't have many apps thre (like QCD).

I voted chicubs polls are best.

sporting a brand new skins section, i think that this site (http://www.quinnware.com/) has the best qcd skin section i've found.

I usually goto WinCustomize every day, partly because I have an OD subscription and like to keep tabs on what they're doing. Mostly it's to see what others have done with SysMetrix skins since it's the biggest site for that. I usually visit Deviant Art a couple of times a week, mostly because they have so many sections. Overall, I don't usually find stuff that I like at digital art sites, though. So, either I'm going to the wrong places or I have weird tastes...

I have to agree with regener8ed,this is the only site I visit for QCD skins, other than that I check out lighttek for talisman themes since i use talisman as my shell instead of explorer, and wincustomize every now and then.

what happened to deviantart? such a great site.

why did you place a 'please no' by deviantart? is there something bad about it? I thought it was a great community (although i cannot say that I am active in it).

if there are any artists in the house, check out an art collective that I am involved with.

www.thoughtcrimez.com

they accept public submissions, so send them some of your art (digital or not) and it might get posted. It is currently going under heavy redesign.

honestly matt, that site has gotten slower since its new version, which I didnt think was possible....its pretty unbearable and I have cable.....also there all these adds trying to get me to subscribe to da, no thanks!!....too many crappy skins (esp in wa2 section) and too many poor webcam pictures, which no one in their right mind would want to see....its become a crap hole, but I stilll go there cause its the biggest and everyone goes there still.

yeah. i agre deviantart is a heap of crap. it's slow and a lot of teh thumbnails are broken. Lots of crap. It's also too big and too confusing and it takes to long to explore.

I really have to go with DeviantArt. As a visual artist and poet, I use this site all the time. It's free, not half as laggy as Side7 and the like, and I just enjoy the new, easy layout. So.

I also used to use Deviantart, but itjust got slower and slower and the quality suffered. The best I've seen lately for integrity has to be Abnormis.com

I voted for chicubs, I don't use any "digital art" website in special. I have a few megs on my hard drive filled with artistic 3D images and Photoshop artwork, but I'm no fan of any website.

I used to visit Devianart from time to time, but they've gotten too big and too slow...

Not just skinners - I really love eye candy (it's right after music on my list of fave things to do with my PC) and I know you're gonna shudder but I like...
...Deviantart.

I visit WinCustomize most often, mainly because it specialises in Stardock programs, of which I use several - WindowBlinds, IconPackager, CursorXP, LogonStudio, and now BootSkin. I also quite liked DeskMod until it went lite.

Ooo! Roj! I'm http://aranelmorwen.deviantart.com (http://aranelmorwen.deviantart.com/) You? ^_^I'm no artist - just an appreciator. Also, if I'm on any given board, my nym is always the undersigned. :)

Addendum:

I really like this:

The influences of The Cure and Bauhaus are quite readily aparrent (Peter Murphy's visceral performance of "Bela Lugosi's Dead" in "The Hunger" is a classic fave of mine). :) I also have a particular affinity for the poetry included...

Why, thank you, Roj! I feel so special now. "Bela Lugosi's Dead" is an awesome song. One of my favourites. I also really like the live version of "In Heaven". "Swing the Heartache" is very inspirational to me.

Go to http://haunter.student.utwente.nl/Terrarevolution and www.planetside.co.uk for some very good desktop wallpapers made with Terragen! They are my favourite digital art sites. (I also like www.digitalblasphemy.com but you have to be a member in order to download the nicest wallpapers)
