Hi to all,
since I want to use QCD as my main player I deeply miss one feature found in Winamp.
My mp3 collection is stored this way: c:\mp3\<artist name>\<album name>\*.mp3
Since I only want to hear/select complete albums I didn't need to manage extra playlists with the following simple feature in Winamp:
- Shift+L simply pops up the standard Windows directory-chooser dialog. By pressing return on a directory Winamp recursively adds all files under this directory to its playlist AFTER removing every other entry in Winamps playlist.
This way I can simply press Shift+L, then press one or two of the first characters of the desired artist which will jump the cursor to the first artist found (which starts with these characters), selecting an album and pressing Return, finished. The album then immediatly starts to play.
I can do nearly the same in QCD ("Add folder of music") but this adds the files to the playlist merely then replacing them. So every time I use it I have to first manually remove all entries from QCDs playlist before adding a directory.
Would be very cool to find this feature in QCD in the future :D
