I'm thinking of encoding my files using FLAC or Monkey's Audio.
So for those of you who are encoding losslessly, which format do you use and why?

I use monkeys, because its the one i found first ;). Apart from that, they both have similar compression ratios, and are both quite well supported by plugins in qcd and other audio players.

i used monkeys front end because of the radical compression ratios and good support
winamps plugin is configurable too.
i tried flac but i must have loused it up...
how cool is that , monkeys front end ?

Either one and if I could pick one, I'd pick Monkey's. It's been around longer, has better tools and is widely prevalent on Usenet.
