Hello! I'm new to QP and new to this forum! I'm truly enjoying this software. I used to use Sonique all the time. I think I've found a new love!

Well I'm here because of this issue: I tried to install the Cover Art Vis from this (http://quinnware.com/list_plugins.php?type=visual) page (first viz). The zip file is empty. What gives? Thanks!

You wouldn't happen to have 'show hidden files and folders' turned off. The visual itself is dll-file and it's on the default list of files to be hidden. You also might want to check the filesize, should be 122 kb. If it doesn't, download the file again.

And oh yeah, welcome to the forums :)

I just downloaded it to check and the file was in the zip file.

OK I'll check. I was just going to say that I can't imagine any file would be "hidden" in winzip, but I guess it can be. Here are MORE details on the problem I'm having.

When I installed the other plugins, I just clicked on the Install button and everything installed to the appropriate place, without my intervention.

What's happening with this particular viz is that winzip opens, and nothing is there. I cannot "Select All" and extract anywhere because there is nothing to extract. I looked throughout Winzip's options and there was no setting to un-hide files.

Advice?

Use Winzip Wizard instead of classic. It'll extract everything without you having to select anything.

The file that downloaded was supposed to be an installer but I must have uploaded the wrong file. But you should be able to extract the contents to a folder and copy the dll to the plugins folder.

The show hidden files is a windows setting and it can't be changed from winamp itself (and I'm not 100% sure if it affects winamp but that's the only reason I could think about). Open Windows explorer -> Tools menu -> Folder options -> view tab -> choose 'show hidden files and folders'

Did the size match?
