Music Collector Plug-In

I use Music Collector and QCD, so naturally I installed the Music Collector plug-in for QCD, but so far I can't figure out what it's supposed to do. Since I upgraded to 4.11, every time I start QCD I get a message about qcddata.muc (in the Music Collector folder) being updated to a new format, etc. In fact, I get the message twice. If I close the Music Collector plug-in, I stop getting the messages, but I can no longer edit track info. What's going on here?

I use Muc too, and installed the plugin. Can't see any use for it though. A closer explanation on this plugin would be nice.

This plugin links QCD to your MuC database, so that when you insert a CD, the information of your MuC database is retrieved (instead of CDDB for example)

First of all, you have to configure your plugin to give the correct path to your MuC database. I personnaly disalow the plugin to insert new CDs (CDs inserted and played qith QCD, for which there is no entry in the MuC db, and for which there is a CDDB entry)

Then, in the library plugin order, i set it in first place, and i also disallow CDDB plugin to retrieved information for CDs (this is a personnal way of configuring....)


then, when you insert a CD, QCD will search in the MuC database instead of the CDDB cache or the CDDB site.
