Skin Icons have arrived.

by popular demand 'Skin Icons' have arrived. These icons will let the downloader know before hand what features the skin supports.

If you are a skin author, go to your devzone now and update your skins!

note, the internal skin browser will be updated with the icons soon.

Firefox recognizes the alternate text of the icons, but it won't show a tool tip for them! Is this just a stupid Mozilla bug?

Opera has the same problem.

It's because that's not what "alt text" was specified for. It's supposed to be an "alternate" behaviour instead of showing a picture (if for instance you have pictures turned off, or it can't load it).

Showing it in a tool tip is another of IE's "let's do what the hell we want" quirks, which shouldn't really work. I expect there's a Firefox extension that adds that behaviour in somewhere, dunno about Opera though.

In order to get it work with Opera (and fireFox as well) it should title instead of alt.
