New Messages

I'll post this here as I don't know if this is a bug or just a figment of my imagination, but it seems that the forum pages are no longer hilighting new messages for me. I'm logged in ok. Anyone else experiencing this?

How does the page determine what new messages are available? If I visit a message via the suscribed email link, and visit that page only, do all other new massages lose that "new" quality when I go to the forums again?

It still does the job for me. However, if i leave the forum main page idle for too long (say 10 mins or longer), then suddenly all unread posts are marked as read! :confused: :skull:

I find it a bit annoying too. Maybe there is a setting that needs to be undone?

I have noticed a little weirdness from time to time, but nothing regular enough to recognize a pattern. Perhaps this is how :evolved: they :evolved: are watching us... :cyclops:

This is what happens to me ,according to the who's online i'm logged in,but according to the top where to login it show's that i'm not.

A little wierdness on my end too,except i have the problem if i post something or read a thread and hit the submit button when posting or the go back button or the forum button to go back to the forum index page i have to relog back in,but according to the who's online i'm still logged in but can't post anything.

yeah man i have problems/issues with this too :skull:

I'd assume that it uses a cookie that has info of when you've visited the site last time. And then based on that time it checks if there's any messages that have been posted after it. So it's 'new messages' not 'unread messages'.
