Is it possbile to rip music into Ogg and mp3 or Ogg quality 3 and 7 at the same time? Or at least after each other without any user input inbetween?
I want to use Ogg at a lower quality in my portable player, but using a higher quality or even mp3 when playing music on my desktop computer.

Search the forums on www.hydrogenaudio.org for this sort of info.

I don't think Hydrogen Audio have anything to say about this.
It's the way the encoding app works.
When you configure QCD, you choose an encoder plug-in (MP3 or OGG) and in it's config you can configure bitrate/quality settings. Also you choose what folder and filenaming scheme to use. But behind the scenes, it rips a second of audio, then encodes it to the chosen format then saves it to the file and then rips another second, encodes and so on (May not be in chunks on 1 sec but you get the idea)
What he wants (And I would need it too) is an option to choose more than one "Encoding Profile" and that it would rip one block, then encode it in each settings onto different files/folders and then continue...
For example, when I buy a new CD, I make 4 copies:
1. Ogg q8 in /My Music/Full Albums/[Artist - Album]/[##] - [Track Name].ogg
2. Ogg q2 in /My Music/For The Office/[Artist - Album]/[##] - [Track Name].ogg
3. MP3 320kbps in /My Music/Portable/Full Bitrate/[Artist - Album]/[##] - [Track Name].mp3
4. MP3 192kbps in /My Music/Portable/Standard Quality/[Artist - Album]/[##] - [Track Name].mp3
I play #1 at home on my computer (Hooked to my HT), I play #2 at work with headphones on, I play #3 when I make short trips in which I only listen to one album at a time. And play #4 when I carry 2 or 3 albums with me in shuffle mode.
Having to restart the rip and changing settings would be avoided if QCD's encoder would have encoding profiles that lets you save Encoder, Settings, Output Path and Filename Template so that you could select more than one at a time. It would obviously take longer to encode everything 4 times but I can make it rip overnight.

Well, here's a relevant thread from hydrogenaudio:

There's a link to MAREO, which is what you are interested in, from that thread.
