Apparently there is a plugin that plays m4p files for Winamp: http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=137828
I just tried it with the Winamp input plugins manager, and it works...kind of. The balance is all whacked (it favors the right ear tremendously) and you can't seek, but I could live with that. It also doesn't use output plugins, or visuals, but that is supposedly due to limitations of quick time. However it correctly displays the time of the song and when playback finishes it goes to the next track.
Just thought some of you would like to know.
