CDDB Service Error

When querying a cd, status text is now "CDDB Service Error". Verified that service status is good in Pref->Gracenote CDDB.

When editing the un-recognized track, get the attached message.

using version QCD 4.11

That's pretty wacked. I suggest doing this: open RegEdit, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CDDB and delete the CDDB key (including all within it). That will reset CDDB and have a new userid created. Things should work afterwards.

Hello! Just started having problems with QCD version 4.51a (May 13 2004) when accessing Gracenote. Was working fine a few days ago.

Have uninstalled and re-installed several times with no change.

Other apps (Napster, iTunes, etc.) seem to access data no problem.

I'm trying to use with Music Collector plug-in, but this doesn't affect the problem.

The registry edit had no effect.

Any ideas?

Update after more experimenting.... This behaviour seems to be disc related. Most work fine, but some (at least this one BBC Music Magazine CD ) do not. However, this same CD is recognized and found in Gracenote/CDDB by other players.
