Looks good as a chat programme esp when using multiple protocols, but why, for gods sake, do the smilies always have to look so darn ugly?

Dunno, you could always request that they improve them on their feature requests forum. They seem pritty active on their.

Am I the only one thinking it might get another name at some point? ;)

You wouldn't happen to mean MSN messenger 2 or something like that? Cos the site has this Microsoft look on it (in my opinion at least).

messenger 2. Strange name indeed. ONe would expect it to be at least "messenger 5" (ie there is support for 5 protocols). By LevelTEN design. I guess that's not microsoft :ponder: If it's going to be like trillian, it probably will soon be packed with other features in a version you have to pay for.

Well I think they may get into legal trouble even though Microsoft has no plans to make Messenger 2. Messenger is a know brand of Microsoft so I would think they aren't interrested in others using that brand.

They'll probably wait to see if they've got away with using the generic term "Windows" in the US courts before they try and do "Messenger". I don't believe they can slap anyone for calling anything "Messenger" as long as it doesn't say "MSN" and doesn't look like MSN Messenger...

Mmm, Trillian might want to slap them though =) Seems they nicked a few emoticons, also loads of spelling mistakes all over the website. One to watch, maybe, but not something I feel like trying at the moment!
