Favorite stick/runt/winshade mode?

In the flavor of other recent 'favorite skin" threads here, I thought I'd start one for the best stick/run/winshade mode. Things to consider are:

1. Attractiveness.
2. Functionality: play controls? volume/song controls? window controls?
3. Too many controls? Is it bloated? Are the controls not arranged well?
4. Customizability: can you resize it? other 'special' controls?

Anyway, my pick is the QCD 4.20 runt mode. I would pick the QCD 4.5 remote, but it's not an actual skin mode, and so it just ends up bugging me that I can't, for example, press Alt+B for the QCDlib plugin with just the remote up, and whenever I start up QCD, it loads the main window and the remote, even if only the remote was showing when I shut it down, or when I'm using a remote only layout.

Runner up for me is PRiZM. It's absolutely beautiful, but it has no window, volume, or song scrolling controls.

QCD 4.20 for me too !!!

used "MMD3 winshade blue" most of the time or another realy small Skin i placed at the top my screen...

but all those skins dont have a resizable playlist... QCD4.20 has one ^_^
The Buttons and the Font are big enough, no unnecessary Decorations/Eyecatchers...
just a small, nice looking and easy to use Skin ! great work Paul !(or was it Matt ?)

maybe i'll change back to MMD3 when it got resizable playlists...
well... dunno... quite happy with the default skin at the moment :cool:

well... now i updated most of my skins... now MMD3 is also available with a resizable playlist...
but the skin has a new name : "qmp experience"...
so now i'll change to "qmp experience - winshade blue"

toss-up between qmp (in teal,blue or green) and prizm (in black)
whoever made prizm did a damn fine job and would be even finer if it was resizable... :skull:

Hmmm.. I guess the Phaseless 2 link just wasn't working for a little while last night when I tried half a dozen times :-)

Alas, I can't see anything on it, what with the tiny text and glare and muddy colors and everything. Just not my cup 'o tea. Here's hoping Paul implements the remote as a skin mode.

I'm fond of Ayla, Chameleo and the remote. I don't much care for stick skins like the MMDs and Phaseless that use shading in their track and time displays. They sacrifice usability for beauty. Simpler is better for me with a simple color layout and basic player controls.

The QMPExperience skins are outstanding in the full mode, however. Aren't custom skins grand?

4.20 runt mode. It has always been my favourite skin for QCD. Haven't found a skin that is anywhere near that one. Could use a few color choices though.

I love the steel city skin. I don't use it exclusively, but I might, if it would be updated a bit to take advantage of the new features in QCD.

I really wish that steel metropolis incorporated steel city as a mode (I know they are different designers, so it's not likely) and then made it extendable/re-sizeable. Then, I would be uttely content.

I would've said QCD's original Runt mode a week ago, but now I'm a Phaseless 2 convert. Just an amazing, functional, and lovely skin.
