On the front page, the text on the gradient background has its own background color, so it messes up the look.
This isn't that much of a big deal, and should be easy to fix.
It's more obvious in Mozilla (Firefox) than in Internet Explorer, but you can see it in both.

Gradient text? If you are referring to the background of the player image, you will see that it is the QCD logo, complete with green PLAY button. If your message refers to something else, I must confess bafflement. Everything on the homepage looks fine to me, in both 'fox and IE.

I think gzero3k is talking about the text that says:
Stop what you're doing, find shelter and call your mom, because Quintessential Player 4.50 has arrived. This new version brings you closer to your music than ever before. Stop letting your media player push you around, take control with Quintessential's new and improved arsenal of features.
QCD is still all about you. With its new extended freeform skinning engine and plethora of feature extending plugins Quintessential Player can be whatever you want it to be.
...
It does look like the text background doesn't match the gradient background.

OK, I see that. I thought it was intended to make the text stand out from the background. In any case, I don't spend much time on the front page, just long enough to see if there is a new version!
