playing streamed content + crossfading

I am a fan of playing streamed content from the web as it does not occupy space on my hard drive, however I noticed that when i play thru directsound with crossfading, it seems that after a couple of songs QCD freezes. In addition, before it freezes some songs play twice with shuffle on, when other songs have not been played at all. Thankfully, when playing thru directsound w/h crossfading all is fine. Anyway, could this be a bug?

What format of audio are you streaming when this issue occurs?

I stream mp3 files from mp3.com (ie I download playlists from various artists) and my internet connection should be fast enough (ADSL 768kbps). Hope this helps in simulating the possible bug.
