When Gapless playback is selected on the DirectSound Crossfader plugin, playback stutters slightly at beginning of each track during gapless playback.
The music files are encoded in Monkey's Audio (.ape) format.

This happens if i skip to a ape file (on build 76), the only reason i can think of is the chunkiness of the apes...
If it happens to you during normal playback, (and ya trying to get gapless...), increase your buffer length to something like 5000ms.

QCD doesn't like me dumping 30 GB on it
mine are all way over 100mb each

check the audiophile section for WAY more on this heh heh)

I've noticed the same stuttering (ie. it seems to skip back approx. half a second) when the computer is under heavy load. Maybe B77 should improve this.
Hedge - This happens on B76 as well. Haven't used B77. Buffer has to be at least 3000ms for gapless playback. Increasing the buffer above 3000ms doesn't make any difference on my machine.
Todd The Kiwi - Ape files are betwen 20MB - 40MB. Do you mean 30GB in total? What happens to QCD when you do this? I've only ever dropped approx. 2GB and had no problems.
I think B77 will help this.

it freaks out and runs for the hills usually
BUT build 77 is behaving itself nicely at present.
and yeah 136 tunes = just over 30 GB.
actually right now i'm in the middle of destroying them into mp3 for ease of use
(i've burnt them onto cd prior to this so i'm not losing any info)
:skull:DEICIDE like the band ?:skull:
