No relation eh? Then why does QCD use Nullsoft Install System? Hey I love QCD as much as anybody else - as far as I know it's the only program which can encode to ogg vorbis (Winamp can't even play it). I've got nothin' against Winamp either, but ever since AOL took over Nullsoft - well, you know the rest.

Anyway - it's a time for celebrations - 4.50 is here! Long live Paul!

There are lots of apps out there that use the Nullsoft Install System that aren't even media players. It's good and it's available.

The vast majority of freeware and open source applications I've seen use it. Are the two even related? A quick look at the homepage (http://nsis.sourceforge.net/home/) of the install system doesn't show any links to Nullsoft at all...

Early versions only used the llama icons in the installer, where you check what features you want. Winamp is at the top of the list of apps that use it, and Nullsoft is at the top of the list of companies using it. NSIS is listed on nullsoft.com's list of projects.

Deltaguy are you ever going to answer ye ole PM?
