A new skin question

Hi all. Here's another question from the old man. Do any of the skins have a built in mute button? If not, is it possible to add one to new or updated skins? The reason I ask is that it's kinda inconvenient for me to go to the volume icon, open it, click on mute and then close the control window. I'm not sure if I've come across any mute controls on any skins I use, but if they are available, can anyone let me know which ones have them?

I don't see a mute function in QCD, I have searched for it but I can't find it.

I guess you can pause the song... but maybe not what you are looking for.

I've always wondered why anyone would want to use mute instead of pause in the first place...

I don't use neither. But might come in handy in any ocassion don't you think?

Thanks for all your answers, guys. I would use it because I'm at work and 1: I need a quick mute when I have to talk on my police radio, and 2: I usually listen to radio streams, I don't believe that pausing the stream for a long time and then continuing to listen would keep the same song. I WILL try the pause button for a while and see if that will work for me.

Yup, that seems to be the solution. Thanks again for the thoughts; the pause button will do me just fine. :)

I don't see a mute function on the Base Skin... I searched it on the menus and can't find it...

d/l and install Hotkeys plugin and set a key or key combination to mute qcd

Not all skins have a mute button , but one can be added use color#0099CC(0,153,204) in the map where you want it and add the graphics to the WindowSet .bmp at the very bottom .

As Qaz mentioned;my BARD has a mute button.H0wever,I'm sure all other skins,esp.the base skin,will have one soon/from now on,because just as for the end-users,it's a new feature for us, skinners..So we should be patient.
I can only say that my new skins will have one from now on.

Thanks again .. I do use BARD frequently, and I like it. I'll go back and check out the mute funtion. Probably that's what I need when I use the location that's closest to my mike.
