I use DFX with QCD, but I can't see anything callled a reg file anywhere on my system. If you can identify the file by name, I may be able to pin it down.

My dfx is registered and works just fine. What file exactly are you talking about? Let me know and I'll do a search of my hard drive for you.
Dfx is installed in my Quintessential Player\Plugins directory. There it has a directory of its own with its .dll file in the Quintessential Player\Plugins directory.
There's also a Dfx directory under program files. I couldn't find a reg file in either location.

My situation is the same as jkrzok's. As I mentioned, I searched my system and couldn't find anything answering to the description of a reg file for DFX. I used `dfx' in the filename as the search term, so this should have found everything that might be relevant.

I was never able to get DFX to work either. Try Enhancer017... it takes a while to get a flavor for it, but there's lotsa presets to chose from until ya get a grip.

So how do you get DFX to work with QCD? What version do you use?

It should be just a matter of specifying your QCD folder as the target location in the DFX setup dialogue. Failing that, you can install DFX in Winamp, then copy the relevant files (they are easy enough to identify) into the equivalent locations in QCD. I'm talking here about DFX for Winamp 2 and 5.
