I just figured I'd put that up front, because when I found that site, my first thought was "damn, thats a weird idea for toys".... of course, my second thought was "damn, thats cool... I want them all"....
Searching around Takara's website a bit more, I found these little gems:
http://www.takaratoys.co.jp/irc/index.html
Now, this may just be me, but the controller design, in and of itself, makes me want to buy them... nevermind the fact that they're miniature r/c tanks, but the fact that the controller for them is in the shape of a WWII-era german grenade.... wow...
On a side note, does anyone remember the mini-r/c craze that hit america last christmas? I'd just like to say that I spent $50 on an import from Japan in the summer of 2K2.... and right up until we all started getting hit with constant spam advertising them, and seeing them in stores EVERYWHERE... it was the coolest toy on the block... I hate it when underground-ish import toys become americanized...
Anyway, enough of my rambling... feel free to post comments or links to other slightly esoteric foreign toys (I'm betting that most of them will come from Japan... land of the weird)
