Hmmm Coffee.... Making one strong right now!
Only Black, as usual... If I want some milk or sugar, I'm gonna make myself a hot chocolate. I never understood why almost everyone mix such things.
And also, I learned a while back that coffee can actually be good for us [...]

Nice image. And to join into the whole coffee/tea debate, how can you say no to a good cup of earl grey tea? no sugar, no milk, no cream. Mmmmm. Either that, or green tea, maybe oolong tea... that oolong tea is good stuff.

it contains nutmeg, cinnamon and some other stuff i can't pronounce. and yes it's real good with a curry. mmmm curry , my favorite dish...

Oh that's good for your teeth! http://www.quinnware.com/forum/images/emots/post/laugh.gif although i somewhat agree , tannin in tea stains your teeth (and probably your interior) quite badly , just look at grandads teeth... heh heh and apparently drinking 15 coffees a day has stained my teeth a bit too according to my dentist. hanzo will live to be a hundred after consuming all the preservatives in the 'fizzy stuff' and mochacinos are all good
(coffee/hot chocolate mix down here) prefer a triple shot flat white though...

Earl Grey....Superb! Incidentally, I live in Earl Grey's home town.
I'd rather have a nice single-malt though. Bunnahabhain perhaps.
good for the teeth too, I believe. ;)

When you say indian spiced tea, do you mean chai tea? Chai tea is good stuff... still, its not really an everyday tea, I'd say... the odd time, definitely, but I would be unlikely to order one at a random coffee shop (strangely, here in calgary, the only time I've seen chai tea listed the way I'm used to, ie: with milk and honey and so forth, was as a chai tea latte...).
As far as coffee is concerned, I very much like a traditional caramel macchiato (as in, not the version that starbucks sells). Just give me a shot of espresso with caramel in it, with foam on top... its a great flavour that is sadly overshadowed by the americanized version.

:skull: i'm not sure what i mean mate , it's just got 'indian spice tea' on the packaging it's made by a company called "Red Label"
and yeah occasional only, daily would put me right off it,
curry however i can eat all the time and never get sick of it. i think i'd better put some art in here ,we are all going way off topic ... :skull:

Well, I prefer to live 80 years and live eating / drinking stuff that makes me happy than 100 eating bad tasting stuff. Anyways, I exercise and eat well and keep an active mind. Plus, I haven't been sick for the last 5 years now. And the last time I went to the doctor (January) my health couldn't be better. I guess I'll keep on drinking Pepsi and Mocaccinos... :cheerful:

ha ha ha , if the pepsi and mochacinos keep you happy and well then go for it man . also i forgot to put a fullstop between "fizzy stuff and mochacinos" .
what i meant was "and mochacinos are all good"
:skull: the more i type that word the more i ponder it's spelling... :skull:
although my girlfriend who's a barista confirms my spelling as i type this , nice.

I was 1 year younger than you just 16 days ago... and I started to drink alcohol (socially) when I was 16. Here in Panama you become legal adult when you're 18.

Same here :) My first beer I drinked when I was 16 too (in Poland you are legal adult after 18 also). Now I drink vodka few times in a year, and beer maybe few times in a month.
About coffee... I don't drink it and probably I will never do ;) but I like tea very much.

I don't understand why people in the corporate world drink so much coffee. I mainly drink water or water-based drinks like lemonade. Everyone where I work drinks coffee, I wouldn't want to be addicted like they are.

People too often drink coffee to wake up. I cant say that's particulary healthy either. I think one should at least take some effort to wake up, not think the caffeinne will do it for you.
Sleeping is best way to wake up ;)
Sadly it's not an option.

I found a great coffee/tea/gourmet food shop in Montreal that roasts their own beans.
Sadly, even if I don't take the exchange rate into account their coffee is cheaper and better than anything I've found here in the US. I stocked up but not enough, not knowing how coffee and tea fit into the whole fruits and vegetables from Canada being banned at the border thing.
So for now I'm enjoying my double espressos with great gusto.
I too have one of those fancy brewing machines. Whole coffee beans in one hopper, tap into the water line and push a button for fresh espresso. It grinds, brews and even cleans itself automatically.
Sadly, my $15 stove-top espresso brewer makes a better espresso.
Speaking of food, perhaps a Canadian can answer this. How is it that fresh fruits and vegetables are so very noticably cheaper in Canada than in the US? Shitake mushrooms, imported from New York State are half as much per pound as I find them here in NYS. Mangos, in CA 5 for a dollar. Here, $1.50 each. And this doesn't even take into account the 20% exchange rate.
Ordinary grocery store/frozen/canned, etc food is more expensive in Canada. But fresh fruit and veggies, fresh baked breads and pasteries are cheap. I find this frustrating whenever I shop at home.

"Don't ask don't tell' is official government policy. I think. Besides, the US-Canadian border isn't all that strict. That would involve an inspector getting out of his warm cubicle to check your car.
Besides, I believe that if it's been cooked or prepared in any way it's ok and the beans were roasted. I was more concerned about the tea actually. A green leafy substance from China and other unknown far eastern ports in plastic baggies, that look like...hmmm... :nervous:
